The oil seal type A shaft seal is a standard design with an outer shell made of an elastomer according to DIN 3760-A. This product can be found in many different industrial applications. The elastomer outer shell ensures reliable sealing in the housing bore (static side) – even with increased bore roughness, thermal expansion, and split housings. This makes this seal also suitable for sealing low-viscosity and gaseous media.
Would you like to order a shaft seal that also prevents external contamination? Then choose type AS oil seal. It has an additional dust lip.
