WR CFP guide rings are guide components with a WR profile made of CFP composite material (carbon fiber PTFE), used in hydraulic cylinders with high lateral loads or with higher requirements compared to WR POM rings. CFP combines the load-bearing capacity of carbon fibers with the low coefficient of friction of PTFE, providing superior performance in applications with intense mechanical loads.
CFP is a PTFE matrix reinforced with carbon fibers. The fibers increase resistance to compression and mechanical wear compared to pure PTFE or POM, allowing use under higher lateral loads without deformation of the ring. PTFE maintains a low coefficient of friction and self-lubrication of the surface. You can find the complete catalog of guide rings on hydsealstore.ro.
WR POM is the choice for moderate radial loads — an economical and reliable solution for most industrial cylinders. WR CFP is selected when lateral loads exceed the capacity of POM, when the operating temperature is higher, or when friction must be reduced to a minimum. CFP also has superior chemical resistance compared to POM with special fluids. Also compare with WR POM guide ring for standard applications.
WR CFP rings are selected according to the inner diameter, the outer diameter of the housing, and the groove width. Installation tolerances are similar to pure PTFE — more permissive compared to POM. They are replaced during a complete overhaul when the radial clearance exceeds the tolerances. Also compare with WRT guide strip made of the same CFP material for continuous solutions.
